LSP Residency

A space where artists can explore their practice and creatively immerse themselves in the heart of Lisbon.

LSP takes pride in fostering a friendly, welcoming dialogue around creative arts practices. Located in the city centre, the Santa Justa Atelier is a hub for artists and designers from around the world and regularly hosts visiting artists specialising in printmaking and paper based practices for short term creative stays.

Testimonial

“I had the most glorious time in Lisbon. Everyone in the studio welcomed me with open arms and it was easy to get stuck into making straight away. The studio is a really special place to work: you feel the historical atmosphere of the building, the deliciousness of the location and the changing light of the studio which all feeds into the work you make there. It was exciting to respond directly to the studio's architecture, which mirrored a lot of what I had been looking at in the surrounding city. It was also dreamy to have a 10 minute walk to a well stocked art materials shop. The cherry on the cake of the residency was the candlelit open studio event on my penultimate evening. It was a piece of magic.”

“The time spent in Lisbon, up at LSP’s studio and around the city, has been key to develop my practice, I am really grateful for all that Jilly and Tom have done to make me feel at home. In fact, I felt like I never wanted to leave the sunny studio space and I hope to be back soon!”
